INTRODUCTION TO BIOTECH-ON-BOARD
The Introduction to Biotech-on-Board (iBOB) Education Series is a series of short courses offered to (A) Principals and Vice-Principals, and (B) Science Teachers, on board of the unique Mobile Lab.
The Course objectives are:
- What is and why Biotechnology?
- The Biotech Education in Hong Kong
- The Sik Sik Yuen Biotech Mobile Lab (BML) Program
- Resources and Support for the Teaching and Learning of Biotechnology at S.1 - S.6 Levels
- The NSS Curriculum (Biology, Combined Biology, and Integrated Science)
- The Biology Electives: (VII) Microorganisms and Humans, and (VIII) Biotechnology
The Courses are offered on a bi-monthly basis for each group of targeted audiences, and the time of the Course is in general in the afternoon of the second Friday of the month. Enclosed herewith please find the details of the Courses and a Registration Form. Registration for the Course is free-of-charge and accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, but limited to 20 participants per Course. Registration also requires the endorsement and signature of the School Principal.
